Beignets d’oignons à la bière de la Brie et moutarde ancienne

Ingredients

  • Onions: 2 pieces
Batter:
  • Flour: 150 g
  • Cornstarch: 8 g
  • Baking powder: 10 g
  • Walnut oil: 25 g
  • Brie beer: 180g
  • Old-fashioned mustard : 25 g
  • Salt

Recipe process

Batter:
  • Put all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl then pour in all the liquid ingredients.
  • Peel the onions then cut them into 3mm thick slices.
  • Dip each slice in the batter, remove the excess batter, and fry in oil at 180°C.
  • Drain on absorbent paper, sprinkle with a little salt.
  • Dip deliciously in old-fashioned cognac mustard.
